vtec hitting late and inconsistent...
brand new ls.vtec. it hit at 7000 last when i hit vtec for the first time.my oil feed line is 24inches long. i am thinking that thats it. also i have not gotten around to tapping block for the knock sensor so i am getting code. i hit vtec today and it crossed over a little after 6000. anybody?

yup. you need more oil...it will make your vtec inconsisitent if you are low at all on oil. especially if you're on some curved roads and in and out of vtec.....with all that sloshing around, if you're a tad low, you'll get vtec when you finally get enough oil pressure to do so.

well my oil is a little above the the top hole on the dip stick. my vtec oil feed line is 2 feet long. i am thinking this is causing it. that would account for the low oil psi to make vtec crossover since the line carries more volume of oil. anything else.....?
