Ti Retainer wear

I was wondering is B18A/B's with Ti retainers have the same wear problems as those with vtec heads? I am pretty sure they due, just wanna make sure.
it might be different because I think the geometry of the rockers are different.
as long as the retainer is designed to fit the spring, and its a high quality ti grade, then there shouldnt be any problems in the long term.

yeah the common thing i hear is that crower, skunk, jun, toda, ect titanuim retainers(sp) only last about 30k at max.. thats with a aggressive cam and on a weekend raced motor.
some members have even tried to use a coating proccess like BryCoating.com ...NiTr somthing like that. I would love to find out a solution to this.

My friend has his Crower B18A retainers coated with Titanium Nitrate. PM danplatt or notstock93 for details. If really improves their hardness rating on the rockwell scale, almost doubles it. They end up being gold, too...
