It all depends on the ECU you are using, I am running the 88-89 Integra PG7 and it is running great!

I used to take my DX engine with automatic tranny to 7000 in first and second. The rev limiter kicked in at about 7200.

The redline on the 1.5 dx 6800 and yes that is higher than the Si. Im assuming this is since the dx is higher compression.

Where the redline is doesn't matter. What matters is what RPM the engine stops making power at. The d16a6 might rev to 7K or so, but stops making power well before that.

Compression has nothing to do with the rev limit of the engine.

The "redline" point of an engine is a point determinded by the engines designers. It is the point at which they feel is within the "valvetrains"
operating limit. The "ultimate redline" of any engine is determined
by the point at which it's valvetrain becomes unsafely unstable. IE "Blown engine", etc.
