its been a while sence i have changed one but i believe you open your glove box and there are a couple screws and the flap comes off and you slide the old one out and new one in
More than just 'open' the glovebox...
You gotta take the entire glovebox out of the car (several screws?), the panel that's underneath the dashboard, then remove a steel bar the goes across sorta under the hinge of the glovebox. Then there's a cover that comes off, and the filters (2 of em) slide out.

I think the A/C filters are an option. He may not have them. And if he does, the hepa filters are around $100.00<-------------------I think, damn fuzzy memory...
if that is an option...is there any way to find out b4 going through all that? thanks!
would this be a difficult job or is it straight foward...liek everything is right there that u gotta take off.

It's not an option, all 98 and newer Accords have them. (In the USA at least.) Honda recommends replaceing them every 30k.
