Any good looking CF vented hoods?
Doesn't anyone make a cf vented hood (usdm or jdm) that doesn't look like a ******* mutant shark?
Isn't there a vented hood out that doesn't cowl up or anything?
I mean, do I have to punch some holes in my hood so that the profile doesn't look like a rhino's?
Mugen and Cwest look the best to me right now..... Damn, too much $ though..... and they aren't carbon.....

I've looked long and hard and you only have a few choices. One is a mugen style on a usdm. Not as raised as the VIS invader hood. There is also a evo style vented hood.
All these are carbon fiber.
http://www.importfan.com has a lot of examples.

Mugen comes in CF for 1500+
C-west also comes in CF for around 1090 shipped from AJ-Racing
Buddy Club looks exactly like Cwest and is 100 cheaper and is also CF. It is the one on MooFX's car.
There are a couple others. I'm not sure if the Shift sports is the same as BC. J's racing's 2nd generation hood is more flush than the first one that you are used to.
That's about all of them.
If anyone can get good deals on any of these let us know.

Buddy Club hood! Vents designed for your car to allow more air to flow over the radiator not to agressive yet, noticable!

I'm not sure if they make them for tegs (but I'm sure they do) but I do know that BKNW (body kits north west or something like that, there's a user on this board from the company) makes vented hoods at nice non-jdm prices..

The mugen cf good was made only for jdm front end. I do not know of any hood made by mugen for the older front end.
Ken...talk with Kiwi from Special Projects, I know that one of his sponsors makes quite a few CF parts, but I can't find a picture of the vented hood, nor can I correctly remember what it looked like.

Kiwi is sponsored by Importfan I believe. The quality on these hoods looks decent and they make a lot of replica hoods (mugen, c-west)
The only thing is that from looking at their site, it looks like they have the real mugen c-west parts on their cars, instead of the parts they produce. The fitment looks perfect in all their pics, but everyone I have talked to about their work is disappointed and angry.
From the pics of Kiwi's car, the hood doesn't even look like it comes close to resting at oem level. There is like a one inch gap at least between the hood and jdm headlights.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
-I was going to buy from importfan, before I heard of their bad customer service and poor fitting parts.

It's another company...I think it's PTG, or something like that. And the reason that his parts don't all fit together is because of how many times he's had to fix it after an altercation on the raceway, when I was there he was welding in a new quarter panel.

Ahh...more info than I had, he has a bunch of other parts that they're going to be installing on the car soon, so we'll see how it comes out.
