Exhaust with silencer... power loss?
Prob around 2-3 hp. not much but a noticeable amount.. remember an exhaust doesnt give a significant amount of hp to begin with .. I guess it depends on your set up as well.
Judging by the outlet diameter of the typical silencer, I would estimate more than a 2-3 whp loss. The silencer creates a serious bottleneck in the system, and I would be very surprised if an aftermarket exhaust system with the silencer in place didn't actually make less power than stock.

i should try my Spoon N1 silencer next time on the dyno to see if there is any power difference, I never use the silencer and come home around 2am maybe 3 days out of the week, if not more, if the neighbors dont like it they can suck it easy

dynojet numbers on my TRM + silencer = -8hp compared to running without it. I did the test 2 years ago just for that reason = justification
I would say try it out and see if you notice a difference. Everyone's cars are different and everyone has different taste. You may notice a difference that is significant to you, you may not. Try it out before making a decision based on the opinions of everyone else, your outcome could be different.
