Since this seems to be the place to show off headers...
Here's mine... and unlike others, I'm not trying to sell anything.

man.. it performs with that many bends? looks really nice.
what are your predictions of power/weight ratio on that mini? seems like itd be great at the drags and between the cones.

Who knows - from everything I read, no one seems to be concerned about the number of bends. I agree that intuitively, you'd think less bends is better, yet no one seems to care. Power to weight will be about 1650lbs fully loaded including me, with a stock H22A1 with header, LSD, and intake, so I'm accepting guesses! I'd like to be into the 12's, though it'll be for autocross and timetrials mostly.

that's sweet man designing your own. good luck and it looks great from what i saw on the site. can't wait to hear more about it. Keep H-T updated i am pretty sure there will be alot of interest in this becuase it interest
me.
me.
Thanks for the comments. I'd hate to say how long I've been building it... but the end is in sight. The next big issue is where to do shake-down testing, without the body shell. From what I hear most autocrosses/timetrials/drag-races won't accept cars without a body shell. I don't understand that reasoning since the shell offers no safety at all. We'll see.

Hehe. Kind of refreshing. Good to see the project is still moving along!

If you dyno it, you'll have to let us know how it does. It looks great though! I hope you get to drive it soon, it looks like it will be a really fun car...
If I'm not mistaken the grey "crap" on the inside of the piping is for corrosion protection when welding. but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
in the ITR forum with Header Tech, they call that a "distortion spike," it's supposed to improve exhaust flow velocity by causing turbulence when they call come together.
That header is so nice, i'd like to see more headers like that, well not exactly like that, on the street. Theres got to be more powerful, just as efficient headers.. I'm so tired of all the played out choices out there... Again, nice RACE header and website.
Thanks,
The "crap" on the inside of the tubes is "Solar-Flux." It is specifically made for welding stainless. If it isn't used, the backside of the weld will grow little "gobbers," little ugly lumps that stick up into the gas flow... and they are harder then hell to remove. Regarding the ugly welds on the cone thingy, yes I did grind them down somewhat before putting the collector on...
