Default Lubricating the release bearing

I've been told to use a grease supplied by the dealer which runs about 30$ can....Just wondering if there is a cheaper alternative?

I have a ton of chassis / wheel baring grease...its listed as beeing a high temperature grease for suspension componenets, CV joints etc....can I use that on the release baring?

LOL.

I'm looking at the shop manual it talks of a Molybdenum Disulfide grease.....b17gsr talked about a Uretha grease....I think I understand now.

My bad...sorry for the useless post.
