The Valvetrain is rated to 10K RPM. Most SOHC cams are usually only up to 8000Rpm and the occasional hardcore racer which is at 9K the most. These kits are perfect for the street cams that are out there.

PMme for the price PLEASE.

If you were revving an A6 to 7800-8000rpm, would any work to the bottom end be necessary (such as shotpeening the rods)?

nope, no need to shot peen. as long as the motor isnt super worn out.. the stock bottom end should hold.

Sorry missed your question earlier.
I've used Isky valvetrain on my previous sohc setups and they have worked fine. THey are not exactly this same part# kits cuz these have just been released. But the Isky valvesprings and retainers I started using back in 1997 and daily drove them with the stage 2 cam with no problems at all.

I'll sell you that old head and I guarantee you that it will be good and make your car faster.. hehe if you still had an A6

Hey not too late. the motor is still sitting on the pallet. And my motor is still all intack. I don't know why but 50% of me is just saying that I should just sell the c1 change over and build my D16 like my old plan.... Does that sould stupid or what?

Man I stress my self over this hobby tooo much

do you think there will be more aftermarket support for the zc in the future, or anything that exospeed may be selling in the future for the zc?

Wil can get you some cam regrinds, I will be ordering some shortly- you just need to either have an extra set of the cams or be able to have downtime w/ your car while they change your current cam's.

We have specs that are not even advertised if you are really hardcore with your non-vtec motors. We choose to not release every cam we have unless the customer really is interested and is willing to talk to us about what they want. If you arent serious about it, then I'd rather not have those special specs out there and have some "whatever" company make the same spec after we put in all our time and effort to produce a cam that works.
we have as Wild as you want, its all up to you on how crazy u want to get.
Certain cams will require valvetrain, but in most cases, if you arent taking the redline past the stock rev limit, the stock valvetrain is ok.

ZC specs are available. just ask.
