Thats bad info.
Change it now. You are shaving metal off the inside of the engine since its new. It's better to change it more often than the 5000 miles that honda says when the car is new.

its simple if you drive hard.. change it before you leave.. if you drive like a girl leave it in and change it after its not gonna hurt.. just check the oil levels.. make sure its got enough.. my oil from factory burned up quick.. i added a qt in my 1st 1000 miles
