Default crank pulley wobbling???

help me out guys... i was looking at my engine while it was running the other day and noticed that my crank pulley was wobbling slightly. it is the one that the alternator and power steering are driven off. what could cause this?? i'm fairly sure it's not my crank that is wobbling because there is no strange sounds from the engine and it still pulls hard. any ideas? is is just a loose bolt? i tried to take a video of it but the lighting was all wrong. thanks in advance for any help.

I had mine do that a little while back. When we pulled the crank pulley off we noticed that a bolt had hit it and damaged it. This may or may not have been the cause of it though.

I was going to replace the pulley, but we got a file and grinded the parts that were messed up out. I put it back on and everything was fine. It still wobbled a little bit, but we pretty much summed it up that it would wobble regardless. Crank pulley was tight and all.

I wouldn't recommend grinding anything off it. They are balanced and if you change that you might end up screwing your bearings amongst other things.

i grabbed the pulley yesterday and tried shaking it.. it was on there tight and there was no play... so i think it might be warped or damaged in some way.. anyways it's at honda today so hopefully they can figure out what's going on...

What it sounds like to me is that the rubber lining between the two sections of the pulley is deteriorating. Examine the rubber lining and see if it is cracking or damaged. If it is, replace as quickly as possible with a new factory pulley or permanent damage to your bottomend/oil pump may occur.
