Default Analyze my 1/4 mile time

Let me start off with saying this was my first time ever to the track and to tell you the truth, it was much harder than it looks. There is so much **** going through your head when your on the line. My setup is an '00 civic LX(d16y7) sedan with a y8 intake manifold and an air intake. Other than that, car is bone stock as far as performance til the turbo comes in on monday.

R/T------.877
60-------2.579
330-----7.386
1/8-----11.306
mph----62.97
1000---14.706
1/4-----17.601
MPH----77.59

My launches varied from 3k-4krpms. I think that my 60 foot is high cuz of my 17's. I am going to try again this week and hopefully I can get her down to 17.1-17.2. Let me know where I can improve

your first time at the track is always gonna be sketchy. Your nervous, your hands are sweaty.. alteast mine were anyways' times are typical for a fairly stock setup. Its good that you got your 1/4 times before your turbo, now you can compare after you put the turbo on.

it always sucks the first time, i remember the first time i went to the track my dx coupe ran a 19s, oh yeah your 60' are too high try to get it down using smaller wheels and stickier tires, did you run your car with all the **** in it? i.e. spare tire, jacks, tools etc?

now about turbo.. dont get me wrong, personaly i dont think its worth it turboing that motor. your better off with a swap. first of all turbo is very high maintenance, trust me been there done that, i went from b16a to b16a turbo now im all motor b18c1. turbo is not for everybody and its very expensive to get it running right. but if you still wanna go for it . more power to you peace

Like anything else in life, track experiences will only get better with practice.

Car had everything in it. Well, the turbo is on the way alreayd and I am going to run it with hondata at 10psi until I get my rods/pistons/sleeves in and then we'll bump it up from there.

yeah 1st time ur mad nervous. i was nervous as hell too but i pulled a 14.5 with a bone stock b16 crx. only intake filter and exhaust. and shitty tires. it seems im really nervous the whole time waiting to go....but then when im next in line...im in the most relaxed stage in my life...im just sitting there calm as hell. i love it. good luck with the turbo when you get it on....youll deff. be gettin better times with that...

I'm going to throw a y8 head on there when I do the rod/piston/sleeve install.
