Default Rumor has it...

Rumor has it, i can switch my rear to front on my Tein RAs.

My front is 14k and my rear is 10k. Is it possible to switch them? are they the same size, and has anyone tired this?

Good for autox? bad for street? and road course?

or should i just get a biggger sway bar?

If swapping springs is such a hassle, then maybe you shouldnt be worrying about it.

For those with limited access to tools it can be a hassle. Without power tools and a lift it can take quite a few hours to do all of it. You'd have to do it one side of a time unless you had all four jackstands. Then you could get a spring compressor. If you're scrawny like me, you'll need a spring compressor. Not to get the spring out, but to compress it so you can replace the nut back on the top hat afterwards. But it's possible to swap them out.

??

That's not that great a hassle. It's not like they're under a million pounds of pressure like McPherson struts.

Bryan and Corey do it with hand tools all the time.</TD></TR></TABLE>

well lets just jump down my *** about it. I was thinking just swaping it over, that would be easy..

Taking springs out, would take a tad bit more time. Im gonna do it this week.

It seriously isn't very hard to swap springs, come on guys.

With a breaker bar and some elbow grease, no problem. It also helps a lot of if you have anti-seized your bolts in the past.

We took off the rear shocks/springs/lca's to adjust those damned old-style koni's... it took about 45 minutes total in order to get both sides off, adjust, put back together. I don't see what is so hard about that....

If you are taking the shocks out to "swap them over" then removing the springs is about an extra 5-10 minutes per side.
