I just wanted to tell u all that the races in Pittsburgh went off great. We had a great turnout and great media coverage. However, I was pretty disappointed to see no Type R's there. As the races went on anyone was allowed to race, no matter what year the cars where. and the type r's would have been allowed to race anyways. I really thought with how well you all responded when we had our accident and Jody died that we would have some R's there.

Yes, what races? I live about a half hour north of the burgh and I haven't heard of any....besides that 1/8 mile thing, but I didn't want to waste my time there...

 

yeah.. last i heard was that itr's could come.. but couldnt race, never heard anything after that.

 

I would have been there if I were still in Pgh. I'm glad to hear they turned out well though.

 

yeah the whole 1/8 mile was sponcered by pittsburgh raceway park my uncle who owns the track wanted me to work there but i didnt think any newer cars would have been there looks like i was wrong

yea i posted on here a few times, check it if you don't believe me. and it was the 1/8 mile thing with pgh raceway park - they got the street ready and ran the races - and it wasnt a waste of time. i dono if i meant to make u in particular feel guilty but i know people from here said they'd be there and weren't. i even sent a few entry forms to a few of u directly. i dont care if u think im bein bitchy about this but i just posted because i felt horrible and upset that no type r's were there.

 

by the way, in my posts i mentioned that type r's were allowed to race. it didnt even have to be type r's - any friends of jody's which meant all of u.

I'd be pissed off too. I hate flakes, not to mention that there weren't any ITR's there.

I knew Jody back when they had those car meets out in Quaker Steak and Lube. Good guy...definitely knew his car stuff.

I made it a point to check out pittsburghthunder...made my $5 donation.

When I read on the site it said it was reserved for 1974 or older cars, I didn't bother driving.

BTW, the guys here with the ITRs have mostly left. I see two black ITRs pretty constantly but I know Matt and Yos are no longer in Pittsburgh.

 

k, so now im a little more mellow about everything, im sure some of u know what today was - if not, today was one year since our accident. i didnt mean to **** anyone off, like i said i was just pretty upset no R's were there. i was hopin someone there with one was gonna let me drive theirs or at least let me ride with one down the strip but that didnt happen. its gonna be a yearly event, we got tons more sponsers already since this year was such a success. if anything else is goin on around here lemme know cause id really like to get behind the wheel of a r sometime soon. maybe we could venture up to pgh raceway - im in good with the Tedesko's now.

So Sorry Steph...Chikai mentioned it to me that this was taking place this weekend but i had to step out of town since i had prior arrangements well in advance..

Matt, Yos, Myself, Brandon, etc.. have all left.

I hate making the drive, but if I can get my best friend to fly out and drive back with me I'll try and arrange it so I'm in town at that time. You'd be more than welcome to take my car for a spin.

i was there (look at my username) as was nekkedR (in his 4 door as the r's motor is not broken in). It was a good time.
