Yoshi do you always touch your wood when you're feeling lucky?

Ok guy's, that honestly scares me. Do you guy's remember the ferrari crash post a few weeks ago that someone posted. You know the guy that was on the side of the highway all ripped apart. Well that was fine this motor shot almost made my stomach turn HONESTLY
Yes it was either Brazil or Portugal I think? at least the text was in Portugese.
I can't look at this **** right now cause my work computer has no sound. But I'm not liking what I hear...

been there, done that... except for the motor damage... but i did bent some valaves I think.
I had a new ACT clutch just put on too.
Its scary to see the tach needle clear the tech.
This seems to be a popular thing to do recently, I see a lot of people doing it.

Hmm...at 60 mph in 2nd the RPMs are at around 8300 right?
Hmm...so 120 MPH would equal 16,600 RPMs...Im guessing shifting from 5th to 2nd at 100 MPH put the engine close to 14,000 RPMs!
Thats gota suck...haha...I wonder if the tach spun around to 1000 RPMs again?

That sux, I did the same thing but it was from 3rd to 2nd at about 90mph......the needle cleared my autometer tach and when I hit recall I guessed it was at about 12,000 to 13,000 rpms.....as for damage I bent 4 exhaust valves and that was it....got lucky I guess.

I did the same thing back in June. I went from 3rd to 2nd at about 75mph and bent all the vavles. It cost me $950 to get it fixed.
It is a very scary thing to see that. I put a little more thought into shifting now while I am shifting gears.

I am not trying to rag on anyone imparticular, i was just wondering why there are so many posts on this subject. It seemes like every day someone posts, i shifted from 3rd to 2nd, or from 5th to 2nd and blew my motor or bent some valves. Seems strange, i have never done this or have seen this done before. There have been a couple of times where i have missed the gear completly from shifting a little too fast but recovered from it quickly. Does it have something to do with useing a short shifter? I have a C's sitting in my living room right now waiting to go in. After i install it will i be the next one to be posting about shifting from 5th to 2nd? I think not. Oh well. I guess there is no way of saying learn to drive jack ***, nicely is there? Forgive me if this seems rude.
I don't know if your talking to me by saying "learn how to drive jackass", but if you were, **** happens to everyone on this board. Just wait your time will come when someone pulls out in front of you and you smash your R. Or you hit a deer or anything like that. Anything can happen. The only thing I can think of is it was the way I may have had my hand positioned on the shift ****. It shifted so smoothly that I didn't even feel it go into 2nd. I don't have a short shifter so that was not the problem. I am so sure the ******* man when it comew to driving your ITR.
If that was directed to me....there is no nicer way to put this, but you can go **** your mother! If it was not directed to me, sorry for the rude comment.
