Actually I don't think its that bad a job, at least from what I can see when I swapped in the poly steering rack bushings.
Mine is leaking (95 GSR), so i figure if one from an ITR, or newer GSR has a better ratio then I'd replace.
I hope somebody knows and can help us

94-01 dc2 integra racks are 16:1. BUT, on the 00/01 itr brochure, it says 15.7:1. this cannot be confirmed via helms manuals (helms says 16:1 for 94-01), so i am not 100% sure if it was a f'up on the brochure or in the helms.

What is the ratio diff between years. I wonder if I could get a 01 from a bone yard to fit my 95. Do you think it will work?

I contacted A&H motorsports (local wholesaler). GSR and ITR are the same, although the newer ones have a different part number than the older ones, hence the quicker ratio I imagine. They have the rack at 345.85 plus 150 core charge you get back.
Still don't know if the newer one will go in my 95. I still am looing for an 00 and up in a boneyard or other. Would rather get the quicker ratio if I have to replace you know.

yes , it will
how many times do you need to hear it ?
get the better ratio rack if you have to change it anway , may as well get an upgraded one.

Dude, thanks for your comments but relax, heck that's 2 for 2 rude comments from you. Has it been that long since you've gotten laid?

fyi for those interested, the 00-01 GSR ITR can be had for 125 in your local salvage yard. At least that is what the guy down the steet wants. He has 4 right now, and he assurd me they were from an 00 or better integra. Too bad acura doen't put the part number on it so I could verify. I will probably measure the reaction difference with a tape measurer just to make sure. Heck they even come knuckle to knuckle so you don't have to swap over those brittle steering rack boots. Anybody with a older teg in need of a fresh rack, I don't know why you wouldn't do this.

those are actually tie rod ends , the steering knuckle is the cast iron piece the ball joints/tie rods attach to.
I still dont think the GS-R/ITR racks share the same ratio , even 00-01 , it just doesnt seem right , anyone verify this ?

I meant you get everything between the knuckle. Let me spell in out for you, inner and outter tie rods, rack, boots etc. Geesh man, when you buy a "catback" exhaust you don't get the cat, do you?
And on your 2nd question yes this is verified, I contacted an authorized acura parts dealer, this is what they told me. The 00-01 GSR and ITR share the same part number, its different than the prior years. Did you not see my above post " How many times do you need to hear it, (as my good friend once told me)
I am probably going to take off friday and throw one of these in. Will let you know how it goes.
BTW, does anybody know how to measure the 16.1 ratio vs the 15.1? Maybe its like one 1mm of wheel turn equals 15mm of rack movement? This would really help me verify the difference.
I would hate to rely on "it just feels quicker"

I still think the ITR rack is quicker than any other rack , but if you want to verify you need to open the rack and count the pinion gear , thats what those numbers are.
you need to count the turns on the rack , lock to lock , later R's are 3 turns lock to lock , FYI.
