I hit a bump and Check Engine Light comes on. The weird thing is when I go to check for the code, the light doesn't blink. It just stays on. Whats going on?

Try resetting the ECU and see if the light comes up again. You're not starting the car are you, just turning it to the "on" position right?

yup just on the 'ON' position. its weird.

bahh... I'll reset it later and see what happens. weird thing is it happens after I hit a bump on road usually at about 35-40mph. probably just a fukt connection in wiring or something.

O2 Sensor?

 

well I had a 02 code a week ago (and when I checked for a cel it would blink '1')but I replaced my exhaust manifold on friday with a 02 in it already. It worked fine and yes I did reset the CEL after I swapped mani's and 02.

BTW 2.5 collector and exhaust rocks!

youre probably right about some kind of loose connection...

 

Mine was doing the same thing when my secondary 02 sensor was dying (the no blinks, not the over the bump thing)

 

well I have come to the conclusion that it is just some fluke. I reset the ECU checked for a CEL... same thing. CEL on no blink. Meaning that when there are no codes to be pulled, it just stays on when the connecter gets jumped.


weird stuff. If my drive home tonight doesn't go smoothly, I'll definately post more about this...
