Even if not I would replace the Main Relay on any EF I had just so I never got left stranded because they will break, its just a matter of time.
However the car usually doesn't start at all if its the main relay. If I were you I would change my fuel filter. I had a similar problem and changing the fuel filter seemed to make it go away.

If your main relay is failing, when you turn the key to the II position, you won't hear the fuel pump come on. Otherwise, it's something else. Check the fuel filter, ignitor, and a ignition coil. When I had a problem similar to yours on my 90 CRX, it was the ignition coil. I replaced the main relay before the coil and the problem still occurred. Haven't had the problem since (1.5 years).
I don't think the main relay is your problem. The coil does have some decay properties (meaning it does start to go bad, and then eventually fail) HOWEVER, it would be a continuous problem... your car wouldn't run fine for five minutes then have a problem. SOOOOO lets see if you've got a fuel problem or ignition problem first.
By the way this stuff is so much easier w/ a manual!
1. With the type of symtoms you are mentioning your car is stalling after the "warm-up" period. Check your idle, and timing. (In the manual.)
2. The fuel system check starts with the fuel pump... you should hear that come on when you turn the key to the second position. Whens the last time you changed your fuel filter? It may be holding up the fuel until you run it so lean the car can't stay running. Also on another path of thinking. There is a fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail. After so much pressure builds it is supposed to open and send excess back to the tank. If that fails to open you car will not run until the pressure decreases.
