I took the bulb out of the trunk light under the package shelf - so I could air out the trunk. When I put it back in it did not light. After closing and opening the trunk the light lit. I tried this sequence several times and it always worked the same. I see there is a switch attched to the trunk locking mechanism. Does this control the light, or is it for the light on the dash to show the trunk is open? If the switch does not control the light, what does? Also why doesn't the light go on when I plug the bulb in?
