Selling my 2000 Celica GT-S and getting a 94' LS (to turbo), have gotten some advice but need more
I am getting rid of my celica (lack of aftermarket parts and forced inductiuon options) and plan on getting a integra. I've talked to a lot of people and this is what I've been told is the best set-up for a turbo. A 94-95 LS (OBD-1) with a B16 (Jap. spec automatic version) VTEC head conversion. With a intercooled turbo, upgraded fuel pump and fuel injectors. Does this sound like a good setup? any other opinions? Thanks.
not bad...or you could get a civic hatch with a turbo H22
by the way...i think the title of this post is the longest i have ever seen

all i gotta say is that "you're a crazy racer", getting rid of a Brand New Celica for a 94 LS just to go turbo...WOW, i'm amazed
I really like the celica and it is fast but I've always wanted a sport compact that was turboed so I can destroy all of those damn mustangs that think they are the sh*t.
I don't think the LS/VTEC conversion is necessary, or necessarily a good idea, if you are doing the turbo thing. Just spend your money on building the engine up instead (if you decided to) or on fuel management/turbo accessories. Revhard and Drag make great kits for the Integra...I would either go with one of these or build a custom kit. If you can afford a standalone computer and know a good tuner, do that and you will be able to run more boost right off the bat rather than running on stock injectors at higher fuel pressures...
