Ok, my buddy was drivin along & went to shift gears & it wouldn't go in then he finally got it in but then he could only hit like 2500 or 3000 & then it would just rev, so what exactly is wrong with his car? I was thinking clutch but he said it's pretty new, so throw out bearing? or what? any replies would be appreciated. Tried searching but nothing like this seemed to come up....

possibly broke some teeth on his pressure plate?

A little more info might be good.The clutch is "pretty new"?What kind of setup is it,who installed it,etc.Then I or others might be able to narrow it down for you.

 

it's a act 4 puck i believe, i don't know great details on it, a shop installed it, when you go to change gears you can push the clutch in but you can't get the tranny in gear anymore, well you can but it takes some work, he hasn't drove it since it messed up, the car was working until he hit like 3 grand & after that he would just free rev & he couldn't accelerate, that help you more? if not sorry...
