what is the MOST you can mill an h22 head, and how to calulate the increase in compression
ok first off i dont want to mill, but i have to. i miscalaulated ign timing w/n2o and detonated like hell.
it melted a decent spot between cyl. 1 & 2. i need to have it milled down, cause the head was just rebuilt w/full oversized ferria valvetrain.
i am going turbo so i dont want the compression any higher then it already is(9.7:1).
i was thinking i have 89 mm bore, so if i enlarge the cc to 89 mm that will drop the compression, but how much?

you want to increase the compression with a turbo??
wouldn't you want to drop it?
wouldn't you want to drop it?

running the same head with more displacement increases your static compression. I posted a thread a while back on milling the h22 head and resulting compression, search for it.
