how to paint a roll cage
I know its a simple question but I'm just wondering if anyone has tips/tricks. My roll cage is stgarting to show some minor rust at the welds. Should I break down and paint it? I guess I have to strip the interior, newspaper everything and go fromt here?
Just use a can of spraypaint and spray bomb that ****. But for doing the whole main hoop and what not, get a peice of cardboard or posterboard, and just use that as a backround as you spray. For the ends/plates, you will prolly need to use masking tape .
I got mine painted locally by a guy for 250.00. i did have to strip the interior. oh wait the interior was already stripped. i just had to pull the seat out.
you may not get that price by you. that was a guy working out of his garage. trust me though the paint job is flawless even on the cage. no drips at all. the guy paints and does touch ups on 10 million dollar haterus yachts. if your down here ever i'll get you hooked up. he did it all in 1 day complete. no over spray anywhere. the car was masked 100% inside and outside.

I was thinking Nathan, would it really matter if we get paint all over the intrerior on teh car, it's not like it will detract from its appearance

Rattle can here as well. I had all the interior stripped and just used newspaper on the windows. I painted all the metal as well on the floor, sides, etc... cause the car was red originally.
hey thanks for all of the good pictures! I'll probably try to do it one of the next few weekends and I'll let you know how it turns out.
