New to honda-tech and i would like to greet everyone and thanks in advance for helping me with my inexperience...

I have a 88 crx si, in pretty good condition with a little over a 106k miles on the car. I want to drop a d16a sohc vtec motor with a tranny... i want the car to run strong but also not give me any problems in the long run. What am i going to expect to pay for the motor and tranny? should that come as a complete setup? should i replace the axles? what other things should i consider replacing and please give me some $ figures, so i know what i am getting myself into...any help would be nice!
