I have 88 CRX HF. I cant start my car after driving the car like crazy today.(hi rpms). I can crank the engine but it wont start, and the check engine light is on.
Does anybody know how to check what code its showing?
Also the ECU light is not flashing.

 

The light on top of the ECU isn't lighting up? I believe the ECU gets rid of all of the codes when you turn off the ignition, so check the ECU for codes when the check engine light is on. The ECU is located in the passenger's side footwell. Just pull up the carpet and you will see the metal plate that holds down the ECU. There will be a hole in the top that you can see a flashing light through. This light gives you your fault codes. Short flashes count for one each while long flashes count for ten. There will be a pause between codes if you have more than one code.

 

are you getting spark? fuel?

 

i know im getting fuel. I cant check if im getting spark(i need some help with that cant do it buy my self i need another person.
Also is it possible to destroy the distributor when reving hi.
I have D15B8 (1993 CX) im using 88 hf distributor and complete intake manifold)and im using 88 CRX SI ECU so i rev the **** out of it 6200rmp

Sounds like a faulty main relay once they got hot the car won't start let's it cool down for ten minutes or so and it starts right up
