Default leaking floorboards

i have a 96 lude. the carpet in my car was wet on all the floorboards except the rear driver side. i pulls out my seats, the carpeting and the rubber mats underneath and picked up all the standing pools of water. how do i fix the leaks? do i just sit in my car and put silicon caulking wherever i see water come in from? or do i have to take it to a body shop for the to fix something on the under carriage? thanx for your time

Sounds as if your sunroof drains are clogged up.Turn the steering wheel all the way to the right and then check the back inner fender well of the right front and look for a little tube sticking out.Take a small screwdriver and stick it in and see if its clogged up with mud.If it is then most likely all four of them are.One on each front a pillar and one on each rear pillar.

Check the trunk lid seals, trunk exhaust flaps (behind the covers in the trunk on both sides behind the struts). And the sunroof drain tubes (one goes through the right rear and font driver pillar with a small check like valve on the end of the tube where is exits the car) the right rear one is right next to the right trunk exhast flap the front left is hard to get to and is behind the interior fuse panel.

Check that and get back.

window seals as well. dry it out really well and then sit in it while you have someone run a hose all over the car. keeping it in one spot for a decent ammount of time. then you will be able to find the leak. good luck man!

ok. the leak on the driver side is from the hole they made to run the power cables to my amp. i guess it wasn't sealed properly so all i gots to do is seal that back up with silicon. the passenger side however is leaking due to a/c problems i suspect. earlier this week, around the same time i noticed the floor getting wet, everytime i was driving in my car with the a/c on, whenever i made a left turn, the was a sound like a rainstick comming from my evaporator. well, now that i have the carpet out, i wazs drivin around today and i noticed it dripping down to the floor. sure enough, it was dripping from that white thing the evaporator is connected to. anyway, does anyone know what that white thing is? and is this now a problem i have to take to the mechanic to fix? sorry if i rambled too much.
