is this normal

i had a stage one comp cam put in my car and it will not hold idle. i think it is because any v8 i have seen with a v8 lopes and i was wondering if this is rigth fr my car.(d16z6)

it could be b/c it has a rough grind, but i highly doubt that. prollie sompin hooked up wrong or not hooked up.
