help broken bolt

Default help broken bolt

i have a ls disc brake conversion and suspension, i swaped on my hatch and on the rear left on teh LCA the middle bolt that does teh bottom of the shock in place, the head of the bolt broke, with like 1 cm of teh studd, i was wondering if this happened to any of you guys and how yall got the rest of the bolt out, thanx

It has happened to many, many of us I am sure. I had to remove the whole LCA with that middle bolt still attached, and basically destroy the shock fork to pop the bolt out. Of course, I was putting new shocks in, so that made the OEM ones expendable in my case.

Do you need the shocks that are on there still?

i see, yes i need that shock, i also was wondering if if you put the integra struts in the front is it longer than civic's becuase i got done and the car is very high in the front, or if i drop the motor in will it lower ?. thanx

Its really hard to get those out, there like case hardend steel, and there tough to drill through. You will need good bits, and alot of lube.

You should alwlalys heat those bolts up before you try to remove them.

So you dont have a motor in the car? If you dont, yeah the car is going to be super high.
