My DIY Lip Paintjob
*UPDATED* Heres the materials
Bulldog Paint Adhesive
400 grit sandpaper
Taffeta White paint mixed in aerosol can
Taffeta White touchup Paint
Duplicolor clear coat
First i washed it down real good wearing gloves so no oil on my skin was on the lip. Then sanded it down to get the imperfections, road rash outta the lip.
Washed it again then dried with absorber and air compressor. Proceeded to spray the bulldog paint adhesive to it. Threw 2 light coats on about 5 mins between each coat the can said.
About 25 mins of drying time aided by the air compressor, i went ahead and threw the first coat of paint on. I Let it sit another 25 mins and did another. Then finishing the rest of the can after another 25 mins of drying time. Heres the outcome
Im gonna let it fully dry tonight then the clear cloat gets thrown on tommorow. Im very happy with it, the color match to my car is perfect and there isnt any flaws blemishes on the paint from using an aerosol can. The pics dont do much justice but i thought id throw some up for now. I will post alot more when its finished tommorow. The lip is already very shiny, i cant imagine what its gonna look like after about 4-5 layers of clear coat.
Here is the car its goin on
Well here is the finished product
I only snapped 1 quick picture cuz i was in REAL hurry, but ill do a whole new photoshoot of it today and postem up.

Since I really don't want to waste too much money on appearance, would you suggest or recommend me trying this on my side skirts? Looks good from what I can see. Where did you get all the products from?

Honestly if u wanna save money it would be easier to do on sideskirts i think. It would be easier to spray and get a level layer of paint on them. With a lip i was always angling it different directions to make sure to get a level coat on. I got all my stuff at an autobody supplier warehouse in stockton. They have EVERY thing you can think of. Its very cool u can get any factory paint u want mixed in bulk, aerosol can, touchup container. If you do this just make sure u have a decent area to work in it helps.
