Do i need VAFC to tune?
Just finished upgrading the fuel system for my poor mans R. Heres the setup:
b18 block, PR3 pistons, ported/polished b16 head (mild), match ported b16 IM, ITR valvesprings/retainers/cams. DC sports header, AEM CAI, guted cat, 2 1/2 inch exhaust. HTe most recent modifications were rebuilt injectors that now flow 250 cc's and a custom chipped PR3 ECU with 4500 rpm vtec crossover (i asked for 4800.. WTF!!), and 8400 rpm redline. Im geting alot of fuel now, and i need to tune this thing. I can feel inconsistent power surges in the higher RPM's. My peak power seems to have shifted lower. NO dyno numbers yet, but that driving impression. What do i need to get it tuned? Can i get it tuned with what i have now? Or do i need a VAFC, or a fuel pressure regulator?

No, with the setup you desicribed, you don't currently have any way to tune it. Some sort of fuel/VTEC controller and a FPR would be a basic way to accomplish the tuning.

Try using an adjustable fuel pressure regulator first. If that doesn't get you the results you want, then get a VAFC. Or better yet, take it for a wideband o2 dyno run and send the graph results back to the place you got the chip and ask them to retune the ECU if that is cheaper.
fyi: just get the vortech or b&m hacksaw FPR kit. Don't waste your money on a completely new FPR.
