I got into a minor accident yesterday and my intake got bent. Does anyone have a receipt for the AEM intake? My insurance company needs one in order to cover that part. If anyone bought one online and got a email with a receipt and would be nice enough to forward it to me so I can use it I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Wont a brand new stock intake cost just as much ore more than what an AEM intake would cost?

if he bought the intake, he should have a receipt. if he needs to show value to the insurance co., opening any magazine with the intake listed should show the relative cost.

why does he need a receipt from someone else?

by showing the receipt to the insurance company, you are representing that you paid XXX dollars for it. for instance, a new AEM CAI which may run $200.

but in reality, perhaps you did not pay that much, or perhaps you didnt pay for it at all , in which case, you are claiming monies you did not lose, trying to gain a profit.

if this still does not make much sense to you, perhaps going to take a criminal justice course would do you good.

 

when i got into my accident they looked up how much it costed and told me. and got me another one.it depends on ur insurence company.

Are you talking to me? I do not need to go to criminal justice court because I am not a criminal. I just thought that helping a person out with the intake. Yeah theres always the possiblity that he is lieing and bought a ebay crap intake and paid 30 bucks and wants to get money for an aem. Or maybe he really does have a AEM and needs some help. I know I have bought parts such has greddy, H&R,ect and have not gotten a recepit, because it was over the net. Maybe he should have asked for one. Thats really not my bussiness but we really dont know if he is trying to commit fraud. All I know I just had a question, and I am not a criminal. If the comment wasnt directed to me then excuse this reply.

I am not lying...my intake is only bent. They can obviously see it is an AEM one because it is completely visable with the big AEM sticker on it. I have a folder with all my receipts in it but I cant find the folder. If someone would please PM me who would be nice enough to send me a copy of there or forward me an email if they have a receipt via email I would greatly appreciate it. get another receipt from the place you bought it from

 

I just lost my receipt and my got stolen i just went to speed concepts where i bought it and they gave me another one with no problem. dont use anyone else receipt they will check it and try to report fraud. I almost got introuble for using my friends receipt when my gsr was totaled for a greddy ****.

i bought my aem from a autoshop and it went straight on my car, did the shop gave me reciept ?
no they didnt, what if today i need to show to insurance ? i would do the same ask around to see who has one, insurance does require to show reciept in order for them to cover it, ( but i dont know about i/h/e, basically you are not allow to have them, at least my insurance said that, they only cover body kit audio anything that has nothing to do with performance).

if i have one i'd give you but i dont, inusrance suck up too much money from us already it's time to pay back some

 

if you bought this new from a shop.. and they're still in business.. have them forward you another receipt.. that should take care of things..

 

i bought this intake over a year ago...I have absolutely no idea where i got it from..it was some shop off ebay...Im making this into a bigger deal than it should be beause im an idiot!

 

I got a question. What if you bought an used part, then in this case, how can you show what you pay for? Does insurance company paid for the "replacement value" of the item?

 

The part was brand new. You can buy new parts on ebay last time I checked!
