Dyno Run on Just built 1991 Civic EX With ITR Motor
John at Inline Pro was nice enough to dyno my car today which is a 1991 Civic EX with ITR shortblock (jdm b18c) with usdm ITR head and '98 ITR oem cams run on pr3 obd0 computer with apex vtec controller and stock injectors.
I have a b16a manifold with '99 si aem intake & only mediocre results (which leaves lots of room for improvement) :
177.6 hp @ 7350 rpm
128.4 tq @ 5300 rpm
This was at 86 F and about 90% humidity...
dreaming of 200 will take some more effort, obviously

why did you only run up to 7350 rpm, that is obviously part of your problem, why are you running that shitty pr3, is it an auto ecu? why would u dump all that money and skim on the ecu

7350 is where his peak power was at. there is nothing in his post saying he only went to 7350.

i tried to include the dyno run graphs but can't seem to get them to come up on this column...obviously i am not so stupid as to only run to 7350, that was PEAK power...nothing wrong with pr3. also these were bit parts off of the internet, AND i amn not a mechanic - this was my first buildup of a swap ever
i used relatively weak cams and the ambient conditions NOT good. also that is a true dyno run

Just out of curiosity.. What size throttle body were you using on your B16a manifold? And did you have header and exhaust?.. if so, what size piping?
I'm just very curious as I will be doing some dyno tuning myself very soon with a similar setup.
Cheers

i used a stock itr tb (64 mm) and had 2.5 in. exhaust at muffler shop with magnaflow muffler...i sorta handported the inlet to the b16 manifold so it would not have the stepoff down in size from the tb....header was stock jdm itr 4:1 with wrap and the two o2 bungs welded about 5 in. downstream from the header flange
what program are you running with your PR3? I am doing basically the same swap 97 JDM B18C R and want to keep use my PR3 since I already have everything to make it work.
BTW... those numbers are lookin good... cant wait to see them with everyting ironed out... and get yourself a TYPE R intake manifold.
Peak should come at 8000 so your topend is suffering somewhat
Cam gears will net you some gains and imrove the mid range by a quite a bit...I gained about +18 and +18ftlbs @5200 by playing with my cam gears and resetting the VTEC to 4800 and modifying the fuel a little.
Dyno = real results
