Default Looking for large head pop rivets for the racecar

I am looking for some large head (1/2 inchish across by 1/4 deep) aluminum pop-rivets to tie down a number of final things on the racecar but can't seem to find them anywhere. Have tried home improvement stores, real hardware stores, car parts stores, etc. with no luck at all. Grainger, etc. have them in packets of 250(!) and I only need 20 or so tops and not a lifetime supply.

Anyone got any ideas or have some extras they would part with? I need to to wrap up things like windshield clips, the headlight hole covers, etc.

Can't use washers with the smaller ones?

Did you try looking up fasteners in the yellow pages? Look for fab. shops or sheet metal shops too, those kind of places usually give away things like that.

Check your local area/airfields for an aircraft fastener supplier.

How many do you need? I think I've got a box of 100, if you need more I can get them from a local fastener store. It's nice to live in the middle of stock car country.

I'd already checked out McMaster but I still will never use 250 rivets in my life or I'd rather not keep that many to see how many decades they last.

Thanks for the input everyone. I have checked out a few websites plus gotten some ideas for other kinds of places to look locally. This weekend is dedicated to building one of those wooden fort/swing set monstrosities for my son then next week I'll have a chance to knuckle down and find some rivets.
