Default Need head swap info....

To start ,I did a search, picked through and reviewed about 250+ threads. I have a 90 STD hatch and have aquired a d16y7 head, which i will be installing on my d15b motor. I also all ready have a d16y8 intake manifold port matched to a gsr TB set up to run on a SI (d16a6 using the SI injectors and fuel rail). I know i need to get an SI ECU, the wire harness for the plugs, the injector box to wire in the dpfi to mpfi .Now here is where i get confused do i need to run the SI distributor or the d16y7 distributor ? Should i use the D16Y7 cam or another to get the best out put. Also with the intake manifold set up, do i need to change the injectors and fuel rail to something different or just use a FPR to adjust the fuel flow using the current set up? Now the D16Y7 head is suppose to have 1mm larger intake and exhaust ports then the D16A6 and a smaller head chamber which should bump my compression(thinking around 10:1 not sure) I will also use a 92+ metal head gasket, which on an D16A6 head swap supposably increases the compression slightly. Via doing any other head swaps or motor swaps for now, can any one suggest other ways or parts from other motors i could use to enhance the power out put, rods, pistons, cams, valve train parts, exhaust header, ecu, milling head, or good ole tuning. Prefferably the inexpensive methods this is just my toy until next summer when i should have a B16A motor & tranny built and ready to swap in.
Thanks-Jason

you will want to use the d16a6 dizzy because it is obd0, the d16a6 injectors are also what you want to use because they are obd0 and peak and hold, which means that they use a resistor box, instead of saturated which is on the newer cars, as for pistons and rods you can use the P29 pistons, and rods you will want to change also because on the std hatch the rods are the size of a frickin pencil. You can send the d16a6 cam off to crower and have a regrind done for 75 bucks or so, something like that and have a aggressive but still streetable cam

ok since no one seems to be helping you out I will TRY my best to help you out. I respect the fact that you tried to do reaserch and spent a good time reading all the arcived. I my self am a SEARCH Junkie

ok you want to put a 96+ dx/lx head on your stock D15 in your 90 std hb.
Let me say that the mods, time and money invested into this swap will not really be woth it.. honestly. But it is really cool to get your hands dirty and figure out how things work.

This is what I would do if I were you.
use a 90-91 si ecu
use 90-91 si injectors and fuel rail
KEEP the stock y7 cam how it is. unless your geting a better cam swaping it with other OEM non-vtec cams will not get you any more power.
use the SI distributor so that it will plug up to the harness the OBD1 and 2 distributors have a different pin. I know that you can modify it to work but I don't now how to do that myself. keep your wiring simple it will help out with trouble-shooting.. (which may occure)

yes the 92 head gaskets are better so you can't go wrong with that.
end reasults... you'll have a car that runs better than stock but not a fast car.

also if you do search again you should see all the info you need. I garnetee it!
