Default INTAKE FRONT MOUNT

What do you guys think of this intake? Is it comparable to AEM?

IMO it's junk.

Too many bends.
Sharp 90 degree angle the air has to make just to get in the piping.
Difficult installation.

But what do I know, I didn't design it.

Kinda looks like an intercooler. I have no idea how it compares to AEM though. Too much piping for an intake.

Actually the only thing I can think of that it would be good for, would be the ram air effect.

But if you have a 4th or 5th gen (maybe 6th & 7th?) and a cold air, all you have to do is take the passenger side bumper light out. Voila, ram air!

IMO, the throttle response is prolly going to lag... piping is too long, it has to go all the way to the front of the car

I think I am gonna make a similar one called the turbo effect wannabe's intake

I am gonna get a cf hood and cut a hole on top, something like the superman's symbol, and then I am gonna put a intake there, so it would look like a real Top mount intercooler most factory boosted car have..
wow..so apc

okay okay..no more bullshit.

it would make a better toy for a hampster than an air intake.

I have a 6th gen with a front mount. In my opinion i think its better than a cold air. i have both and to me the front mount sounds nicer and looks good if you have a fascia. The only thing is, you have to have a fascia cause if you try to put it on a stock front bumper its going to cause u a little problem with the first bend.....

That's cool. But we're mainly discussing it's effectiveness from a performance standpoint.

I don't have an opinion on it either way but I was watching these car shows on TNN one saturday and this one show had a civic w/ a front mount intake on it. (they also did a b18c swap and some other ****) but they were trying to put an aftermarket bumper on it and the piping got in the way so they had to remove it and just put a normal cone filter on it i think.

No real point to what I said but just thought I'd share.

Its made by Aerospeed isnt it?
