Default Type S 5th Gen Prelude

I have a 5th Gen JDM Type S Prelude and am looking at selling it but am not sure how much it is worth. I live in England UK and the car was imported from japan 3 years ago.
It is red and has the standard Type S leather/suede interior in black with PRELUDE stitched in red into the back of the seats. It has the carbon fibre cockpit kit fitted along with climate control. It has a full MUGEN exhaust system fitted along with 18" Mille Miglia HT3 alloys with new 225/40/18 Goodyear F1 tyres. It has only been run on synthetic oil since i have had it, (last three years) and i have never taken it to a track day. Well maintained with 80,000 miles on the clock.

Any ideas as to how much it is worth. I know that they are very rare here in England so i would love to hear from other Type S owners.

Recently there are been quite a few people on this board interested in "Type S" components. I'm sure they'll be really interested in a REAL Type S.
Oh and price I'm sure someone over here will give you a pretty penny for it. After all it is a RHD and JDM. Combine those two abbriviations and people go crazy over here becuase "RHD" and "JDM" is cool and trendy.

Please understand I not making funny of your car if you have a type s cool.

Unfortunatly no one over here can ever have (legally) one of those cars. They won't pass safety inspections and I don't think anyone wants to modify three of them so they will pass then have some governmental research facility crash all three of them... Awesome car though! If I had dealer tags I'd be interested. Ignore RAB he is an idiot.

Have you tried posting this in the classifieds? From time to time I see other people posting from Europe and Asia so you might have a chance there. I would love to take that car off your hands but getting it over here (Texas) would probably cost more than the car itself. If all else fails, you can try parting it out. Though I hope someone buys it before then. Good Luck!

BUMP for a Type S

Contact a member named "luke", he lives on that side of the pond as well. He might be able to provide you with some insight.

i've wondered about this... since a prelude model exists over here and both meet inspection codes (or I'd assume)... couldn't you get a VIN for it? It's not like a skyline where there isn't a version of it over here. 2ndly, what would they do for people in the army who let's say bring a type S back from japan... ?

for military the vehicle has to be listed in here http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/....html and as you can read the only prelude years you can bring over are from 1989, 1994-1997

edit: i would like to see some pictures too, good luck on selling your car

The 4th and 5th gen preludes from Japan and alot less bumper reinforcements (4th gen owners buy JDM bumper supports because they weight 40lbs less.) With the lesser supports they won't pass. And, if I remember right the JDM 5th gen doesn't have front side markers or they are in the wrong spot something like that. I know the JDM 4th gens don't have any rear side markers.
