My buddy Slebidia(board member) has a ZC with some CBR 929 ITBs, and he has had several cam'd ZC engines.

sure you can do if your broke and want to limit your potential. or you can do it just to say you built a zc even though you would probably get much better returns if your were to build a b series.

I honestly don't think he ever ran it at the track. He dyno'd it several times, and put out some pretty damn good numbers....It's faster then most B16A powered EG hatches with bolt ons...so I would say he runs ABOUT low 14s high 13s(at best).

as a guy that just bought a zc i will say this. your not really limited at all. You just have to know where to look. zc is a great engine to build. the other thing is b series gosh does anyone not have b16a geeesh its got way out of hand with that motor.. Do something a little out of the ordanary. do the zc build up.Then when you walk away way from em you can say its just a d series motor that is all.

a dohc zc is a great motor. a turbo would be a much better choice for overall power and to reach the zc's full potential.

Go to http://www.thezcr.com and register to post in the forums. Talk to 'SethZC'. He's building a crazy *** all-motor zc.

allright i am going to let you know what i did and you can hear what an experience you are about to embark on. i built a d16z6 motor, i sent it to goalden eagle, to have godzilla sleeves put in and that was just about the sexyest thing i have ever seen. so i decided to put some je pistons and golden eagle rods, into lower my compression, then i had a three way valve job done on my head, and i put in the stock valve train, big mistake!!! i used a jun lightweight flywheel, and a mccloud 4 puck clutch, to get things to grip, i put on a t3/t4 turbo, and a pms fmu, to manage it all. all in all i was pleased with my new motor, i was tottaly content with my motor, but if i had any advice to give, if you want to beef up a d16 spend like a few dollars more and get a b series!!!!!!
