Default Good security system for the money

Everyday I hear about a member's Civic being stolen. I want to know what I can do to protect my Civic. I am looking around for an aftermarket security system. I understand that if a thief wants my Civic, they will find a way to get it. Does anyone have a reccommendation on a security system? Something that is more suited towards the Civic and it's security weak spots? Thanks

Get a auto pager system. Set that thing on silent alarm and buy a snub nose.38, or a good 0 gauge sawed off works to. They have pagers set at varying range's. I got one on a booster( i love radio shack) to get around a 1/3rd mile range. Mine has stoped bout 5 break in attempts, but that ussually when i bust out the back door come around an they spot the 6'5" 320 pd ex prison guard(waves) pointing for their ******* sac. You defintily need some locking lugs for your wheels. To many wheel theifs. If a thief wants your car he can get it with no problem. Hidden fuel pump and starter switchs are good. Heck if your in a bad area when you go in at night remove your spak plugs and ecu. Clubs on steering wheels an pedals only deter the younger kids. Im going plextight on my windows their a lexon(hope i spelled that right) type of material thats shatter proof. Gotta use alchol to clean them since they are a plastic. Removable steering wheels are ok, but a thief only need to know to come back the next night with his own. Dent pullers from auto body shops are all the craze these days around here to pull out ignitions and door locks. May wanna check for remote doors then shave your handles and locks off. If your hvy into car audio go to a metal fabrication company and get them to weld in bars over your sub box and amps. For your deck recess it behind a false face plate. Use your stock radio for that. Thiefs dont wont no stock crap. Also if you do go to a metal fabrication company get them to relocate your door locks and place a guard so people cant shimmy a jim down the side of your door. I seen here locally that a guy buys reconditioned wheel locks from the lapd an puts them on his car at night so the car wont go anywhere. But he's frickin wierd. For basic car alarms it a toss up really. I've used clifford, alpine, autopager, and lo jack. Id recommend any of them. You want to check the audio/security section forum for more info on the subject.

I'm not gonna tell you to go out and get a gun, I'll just say my Viper 300 has never let me down.
