steering problems -- help me diagnose
91 civic std w/b-series swap.
civic ex knuckles and brakes
GC coils at almost stock ride height
Koni Yellows
ebay strut bars
no sway bars
Recently my car has started to feel very floaty. The steering is less responsive and the car floats on the freeway. If I accelerated hard in 3rd or 4th gear, I have no control over which direction the car moves. I seem to feel bumps more than ever on the front end and the tires squeal when I corner.
The EX knuckles have been on for about 5,000 miles now and I chewed through a pair of front tires. The tires were worn very heavily on the inside only (indicating a camber problem) even thoiugh I have my coils up as far as they go (3 finger gap).
Possible problems:
No sway bars. Not even stock ones.
Car needs a serious alignment. Could a bad alignment account for all of these symptoms?
Any ideas?

The easiest way to deal w/ your problems is to get NTW or some place to check your alignment for you. They will tell you all of your suspension problems for free. Whether you want to fix the problem yourself or not is entirely up to you.
Possible problems:
ALIGNMENT!
Tie rod ends outer and inner
Wheel bearings
upper ball joint on "wishbone"
lower ball joint on "knucke"
Rack and pinion (not as likely)
PS. Even with no camber, too much tow/ toe will wear the inside of the tire.
Good luck

You know NTB (National Tire and Battery) sorry... Yeah any alignment shop will give you an alignment but also most of them are going to tell you about other problems as well. NTB is a national chain of these shops and are usually good about checking out the suspension etc.

Most likely toe is out...
to check for steering integrity, raise the car on the front, grab you outer tierods and move around if any play, the rack or tierods are shot.

Get an alignment at one of those places that offer a "lifetime alignment" for free. This way when you get the rest of your stuff done you can always get an alignment everytime.
