Skunk2 Intake Manifold
I am going to start to install a new skunk2 intake manifold on my GSR. I read the instructions that came with the unit and it says you can remove the IAB. Now what I am wondering is if you can remove that what are you suppose to do with the wire harness that plugged into it? Isn't that going to send a signal to the ECU or throw a code? Thanks for all the info.
Oh yeah, and I had one more question. With the IAB gone where do the hoses go. I read that the FPR hose goes to the place on the front of the intake manifold but what goes on the back? It also says I need a T-fitting. Where and what am I suppose to do with that? Thanks
this is what i did:
1. The nipple on the back, i took a vacum line and plugged it w/ a screw
2. IAB - took out black box, removed all extra vacumm hoses, unplugged sensor and let it hang, no ECU cel or nothing
3. T-fitting - i assume it was for the EVAP system, i just let it vent to under my car using some longer hose

i installed that manifold on my 98 gsr, after i finished installing it, i realized that the original manifold had a dual butterfly setup, and the skunk2 was a straight flow
i think my vtec is hitting 4800 now , i dont really here vtec engage like it did at 6000 - weird
i could try getting a pic of my manifold installed if it helps you

Ok. The IAB box is out and the plug wire is just hanging there. Everything is hooked up. I would like to thank you guys for all the help. It works great. (Atleast I am not throwing a code!)
