Default just put in the Si cam shaft and...

ok well i just put in the Si Cam shaft on my d15b2 with the MPFI conversion and i definitly feel alot more top end.. i have several questions now, first where is a good place to set the timing? i would guess if i retard it alittle then i would get the full potential of the Si cam... sencondly, i started shifting alittle higher, like around 7K RPMs, it feels like its still pulling, and i hear mixed things about the real redline on a d16a6 is actually 7200 not 6500 like the gauge says? So is it ok to shift this high on a stock d15? or should i play it safe? i'm thinking i should just invest in some springs and retainers i think the bottom end would hold up with its short stroke..
now is there anything i can do to get alittle more lowend? i dont' really wanna advance the timing cuz i'll loose the topend.. i already have a semi short ram, just the stock air box with on resanator.. i have a full exhaust 2.25 piping all the way back no cat, one resnator w/hayame muffler.
I would say over all the MPFI and Si camshaft are major upgrades for the stock DPFI which i hated.. there is definitly a big difference, before i wouldn't dare pass a car, now i'm not scared, as long as a let those RPMs get real high..
The next thing i plan on doing it throw in the Si trany i have sitting in the other civic(not running). This should get me pretty quick i hope at least a low 16 or high 15 would be nice

the si has fuel cut off at 7200 and a red line at 6,800, but i'd be wary of reving your stock d15 that high all the time i don't think the bottem end is made to take it...

Your d15 rods are punier than the d16 rods but you do have better engine geometry to rev high. 1.6l are timed by the bottom line on the cam gear lining up with the little pointer right under the head left and center. That might help with low end...

ok so the Si does have a fuel cut off at 7200?, i guess i'll just shift at 6500 or so to be safe.. but i'm pretty sure the bottom end can take it, other then the rods honda builds the bottom ends very well i think, i'm just worried about floating the motor

Red line @ 6500, fuel cutoff @ 7200. If you want your motor to last, keep these things in mind. The red line is set @ 6500 b/c that's what the engine is balanced for; just b/c you take it above that and the engine doesn't immediatley blow up doesn't mean it's good for the engine (or that you're making more power; look at some dyno charts).
