the new ones are dark grey and it friction welded or something; no more C clip. so it is pretty much impossible for the BJ to be seperated from the plate.

yah it's just 1 piece... just pop the old BJ off the knuckle, unscrew the sliding place and reinstall the new one.

the previous ones had issues, i think with the C clip not being tight enough fit between the BJ and the plate and some ppl had the C clip braking causing the BJ to be seperate from the plate. the new ones solve this prob. not all of the old ones will break, some did...
right now i'm ordering a handful of sets... i'll wait another couple days and see if anybody else needs 'em.

I'm in bad need for a set and local to the Bay Area. Is there any way that I could pay you in person or leave the money with one of your sponsoring shops (I'm very wary of online transactions i.e. Paypal
)? I visit R.Crew a lot...

I tore the boot off my right Skunk2 UCA, so I don't need the whole ball joint. Do you sell just the boot, or do you know if I can use the OEM boot over the Skunk2? TIA

From what the people at skunk2 told me (and i experienced) is if you bottom out the suspension (to soft or hit tall burms) you put more stress on the ball joint that it was designed for. What happens after enough stress load you wind up pushing the ball joint past the c-clip and out of the adjustment plate (you will have some funny handling then, I lost one at T-hill).
They re-designed it and now its a one piece. A definite set in the right direction. I had already replaced the one that blew out and have my spare replacement ready (thank you Frank). To this date ( I think the new ones have been on for 5 months and about 10 - 11 track days) I have not had a problem with with the new one.
Mike - when we looked at your camber kit back at sears they had stared to work themselves out, did you replace them before the 25?

Nope. No issues. Working fine still.
