A/T Shift Lock Problem
92 Civic LX-I recently replaced the distributor, main relay, and the ECU. Car works OK again, but...
NOW the car has to be started in Neutral "N". A/T shift lock is not working properly. Also, after drving the car 80 miles, the engine started to "kick" or miss while idling/stopped at a traffic light.
I welcome any clues to what can be the problems.

honda uses a very simple method (I'm not sure about newer stuff)for disableing the starter motor in anything but park or neutral. On the side of the shifter itself, there is a slider typoe switch. Lots of contacts. It lights the correct gear indicater in the cluster, enables the cruise control, and stuff like that. The starter wire also runs through there. If the switch has a bad contact in the park postion then "no start in park"
