is it possible to smog LS/vtec...need answer quick!!

i need to know if it is possible to smog an LS/VTEC. the LS block would be from a 97 and my hatch is a 96. is there any reason that this would not be able to be smogged in california. need help quick. thanks alot

yep, unfortunately, he's right...what you can do is smog/ref and tag your car with the b18b swap, and throw the head on afterwards, if you haven't done it already...
