b18a1 help on passing in Cali smog or bar
ok i have a b18a1 and if i put a newer GSR head or B16 head would that help me pass
becoue i what to get it to pass so any help will help

There no way a ls vtec will pass inspection if the REF know what he doing. He will just look at the block and it a b18b then he know it a ls integra 1.8 non v tec then look at the head for what year it is then he will see a BIG SIGN SAID V-TEC then he will know that a b18b never came out of honda with v-tec then he will fail you on inspection then that a automatic fail. If you are going to try and pass and get BAR then if the motor is older then your car just try to swap a newer ls head to it then get it to pass then go for V-tec later. That the best way to get it BAR.

yep a little extra cash is allways great...it should pass the way it is with out the vtec head...i just finished a build for a cust ...it was a 97 integra ls i rebuilt it with itr pistons and stock head ...and passed np..has the extra horse and street legal...

Just make sure you have a good working cat and make sure leave the motor stock . If you got like after performance part make should it got C.A.R.B. co number on the performance part and all the vacum line and motor sensor hook up right. do not try to put two cat on because the Ref might look under your car and if he see two cat he will fail you.

A B18 can pass the sniffer, the problem is the visual. Hit me up when you are ready to pass it.
