crx recalls?
just wondering if there were any crx recalls from factory? reason im wonderin is cuz my seatbelts are pretty much crap. The mechanism that grasps the belt when it is pulled suddenly will not grasp every single time. which is not very good. i got a 91 crx si if that matters. i was comparing them to my girls 96 gsr and man hers will grab every single time, mines kept releasing instead of holding me tightly in my place.
Where do you find girls who drive GS-Rs? I found one once and I let her get away
My seatbelt has been a pain in the *** ever since I got the 'rex. I usually have to pull it downwards into the door to get any sort of tension from it.

well actually first what you do is find a girl, then have your friend sell her his gsr.

I may br wrong, but I think that Honda warranties all safety equipment for the life of the vehicle! I checked with a dealership locally, and they said to just bring my car in and they would take care of it.
alright guys...seat belts do have a warrentee...i believe its a federal law of somesort...every car has it not just honda...and i hardly drive my CRX rite now but i have been driving a 89 accord which also has that bull **** door mounted seat belt...and yes i was concerned with it because if u yank on it hard it doesnt lock up...so i took it to the dealer and they checked it out...they told me nuthin was wrong with it...the said that this type of seat belt has a bering in it and will only lock up when u slam on the brake...i do notice that it does lock up when i slam on the brake SOMETIMES...but i was like WTF...what if i dont see the car and i dont get time to step on the brake...what good will that do...all the did to my car was add on these lile plastic guides for the buckle...WHOOOPPDDEEEDOOO!!!
belts and buckles are warranted for life-(provided they aren't chewed by a dog etc.) To help your belt that won't retract into the door problem- clean the loop at the top of the belt. It collects gunk over time.

the seatbelts react to a sudden change on acceleration. if the car stops/accelerates too fast or if u take sharp turns, the belt will lock up. so in case of an accident there is still the change on acceleration, but u dont have to slam the breaks
Yes...and if you go to this web site --> http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/ <-- you can search on all complaints and recalls. The seatbelt latches were recalled in EF Civics. I think the little red thingies fail after UV exposure and break..I have not had mine replaced but I believe Honda will for free. Have your VIN ready when you call and they should be able to track any official Honda recalls that were performed on your vehicle.
