Well, I don't know where to begin.
I was shopping for a H22 swap for my 6th generation accord, and saw a deal on ebay. I bid on an auction but lost it, but since the highest bidder never paid they got in contact with me, and I agreed to buy the engine with tranny, ecu, axels, etc for 2200 dollars. I asked for the LSD and they said that it would cost me an additional 300 dollars. Fine, up to this point it seems fairly straight.
To make a long (2 month) story short, I got the engine today, and parts that were promised to arrive weren't included. These are the stuff that I was supposed to get, but never came //// power sterring pump, AC compressor, Brakes, Rotor, Drive axels, Starter, Shift Linkage, engine mounts, Pressure plate. I got a warpped flywheel. I should probably add that my transmission came intact, that's how I know that the flywheel is warpped and that the pressure plate is missing. Also, I was supposed to get the LSD, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are removed as well. The tranny is a M2B4, would I be able to see the LSD once I detach the tranny, or is the LSD within, the gears?
I have a F23, is there by any chance that I can replace the head with the H22? Because at this moment, it seems as if there is no LSD, certainly no pressure plate, and a messed up flywheel. If it's possible to swap heads, then I would save some money on parts.
Thanks a lot in advance,
Bjorn

That is the tranny code for the lsd h22 tranny. Can you see throught it completely where the axels go. because if you can it a LSD tranny but their have been cases where peopel rip people by switching the tranny codes etc

Thanks for the reply.
Yes thats the tranny code, M2B4, and Yes I can see through where the axels are supposed to go through. So if there is no LSD, there will be something blocking the hole where the axels are supposed to go? It's hard to believe but I think I have read this somewhere else, as well.
Thanks again H22assbusa

if you can see through it, its equipped with LSD.
you can use your old flywheel and clutch from the f23. but before you do swap in that motor check the compression. it may have bent valves or bad rings, or even something worse.

I know please don't remind me... I'm so heated. I'm lucky that I don't live near where those guys live, because if I did, I think I would get more attention on Court TV than Kobe Bryant.
a bit of this stuff that you listed, you shouldn't need:
power sterring pump: use the Accord one (but you may need the Prelude hose to clear the valve cover. but i've seen it done without)
AC compressor: use the Accord one
Brakes: that would have been cool, but then you'd have a 5 lug out front and a 4 lug out back
Starter: shouldn't the Accord 5-speed one fit? if not, a good honda yard will send you one for like $50.
Shift Linkage: again, if you have a five speed, this you can use out of your Accord
engine mounts: same here Accord Parts, except maybe the rear/transmission mount
Pressure plate: ALWAYS buy a new one with a used motor swap
i know this doesn't help you much, but take solace in the fact that you're not the only one who's ever gotten a bum deal from someone! hope you're on the road soon!

Thanks a lot iakona.
Yeah the truth of the matter is that I'm not too mad about replacing the pressure plate and flywheel, but it's the concept or the thought of these people to jerk me that bothers me the most. So if what your saying is true...then I would save some money taking parts from my F23.
To respond back to H22assbusa and CD8...I took another look at the tranny today, and while the engine code is printed into the engine, the tranny code is printed onto a sticker. It seems legit, but is the tranny code supposed to be inprinted as well? The sticker reads M2B4 then some numbers. Lets say that the tranny isn't a M2B4, and it doesn't have a LSD, would I still be able to see through where the axels are supposed to go?
Thanks a again iakona

the prelude ps hose won't fit the accord pump.
don't know what your talking about with the brakes, thats a whole other topic.
the 5 speed accord and prelude starters are completely interchangeable.

tranny codes are a on a bar coded sticker
lsd has nothing through the axle hole non lsd has a bar when you look in
and your a/c you should use the accord compressor
for power steering you can get teh accord stuff to work, it may be more work but it can happen.
lude and and accord 5 spd linkages are interchangeable so you can use either.
im not sure abaaout mounts since i have not done a 6th gen h22 swap yet though

limited slip differential.
applys equal force to both drive wheels. so you dont do those pesky peg-leg burnouts!
also helps you pull through the corners w/o getting the inside tire to spin.

M2B4:
JDM LSD
1st 3.307
2nd 1.950
3rd 1.360
4th 1.034
5th 0.787
FD 4.266
according to my specs sheet, yes it is LSD
Just a lil info about stock LSD: If you get one of the front wheels in the air while in acceleration, say good bye to the differential, it breaks.

Thanks for the information GZERO.
"If you get one of the front wheels in the air while in acceleration, say good bye to the differential, it breaks." - So I guess I should stay away from dirt rally, and the ramp.
Anyhow, does anybody know if the accord axels can be used with the H22 tranny that has a LSD? I've done plenty of searches, and I have asked this question on previous posts. From what I understand, the accord axels are better than the Prelude in a H22 swap, since the Prelude axels are a little longer. But from a post that I read a long time ago, I remember reading that one has to use the prelude axels if the H22 has a LSD. No body seems to be able to answer this question.
Thanks.

sorry i didn't answered before. I'm not sure which axle you should use, try both and see where do they contact the hub, if they have enough space to get the nut i there ETC.. also measure both and see how much long one is.
Just think about it, i don't think is THAT important, i guess the accord would work just fine, but try to remember about susp geometry and all the angles the axle is going to see. good luck
