no! not the engine... i was just wondering if anyone has a problem with inhaling large amounts of exhaust or fumes while drafting or running in a train. the thought had crossed my mind while at VIR riding in my instructors car. maybe it was the heat, or maybe something else, but i felt myself feeling slightly dizzy until i got back to the paddock. i've riden in many others' cars before smelling nothing but exhaust, but it never really made me sick. if this happens to you, how do you avoid it or fight it?

Well we all did eat at IHOP on saturday night. If that wont give you gas, then you have an iron stomach.

Are you sure your exhaust isnt getting into the cabin?
not much you can do.... in that situation.
If you arent racing, then pit for a sec, and space yourself from the train.

How about good ol' fashioned car sickness? To his credit, I didn't get ill riding with RJ but I do with drivers who are not smooth on the brakes.

I don't think it's the exhaust fumes. I think riding around the track for a while - especially as a passenger - is enough to make many people nauseous. Even if the air is totally fine.

If it was dizziness, could it just be low blood sugar or dehydration? Or do you mean dizziness in the nauseous sense? If the latter, I think its not too uncommon to feel this way from riding (as others mentioned) as a passenger.
