Default Leaded fuel with Tial wastegate?

Whats the deal with using leaded fuel with the new style tial 38mm wastegate. A buddy of mine just bought one and it had a notice with it that said not to use leaded fuel, but instead to get the 40mm if you plan to do this. I own the 35mm, which did not come with a notice and wanted to use 110 octane leaded since the highest unleaded around here is 94. Any idea what this would hurt? I'm not worried about o2 sensors since this is strictly a track car and besides, my o2 sensors only cost about 18 bucks apiece.

Won't make a difference. Wastegates don't care if you're unleaded, leaded, or alcohol, all it does it reroute exhaust gas.

I understand that, but Im trying to figure out why Tial would put a notice in the package about it, if it didn't matter.

There may be a problem with the lead collecting on the valve and sticking the wastgate open or worse.. shut. The problem may not arise with the 40mm.

Yeah, thats all we could come up with too. Guess I'll just have to steer clear of leaded fuel until I upgrade.

Thanks

most likely they designed the 40 mm with race/ high boost applications in mind and knew that some may use high octane fuel, some of which is leaded.
