Default To all you Canadians.

I just had a quick question for you if you had ever broughten a car from the States and took it into Canada.

I sold one of my cars on Ebay and the guy is from Canada and he is telling me that I have to fax a copy of my title to the customs gate that he is going through in order for him to get the car through and that is has to be faxed to them atleast 72 hours in advance.

OK now I know that that is true cause I did call customs and actually talked to them but what I was wondering is what would they do if he just showed up at the border with title in hand without me faxing them a copy of it? Would they let him through with the car or no?

Thanks for your help!!

I don't know but,if the customs say's they need a fax,I would do what they said and wouldn't mess with the opposite solution.

Reasons is,custom can do what they want and when they want!!!

If they want to disamble the car, they don't need your ok.

That would be cool for you to fax the registration to the custom.I'm shure the new owner could benefit from your good move!

Well I would but 2 things first I dont have a fax machine and second he is coming Saturday morning so it would be cutting it very close within the 72 hour limit. Oh and I just found out about this when I posted this topic so its not like I have all sorts of time to find a fax machine and get the number and such.

You can send faxes from places like Staples or Office Max or any office supply store. Or even places like The UPS store.
